Faulkner County, Arkansas Inmate Search

The Faulkner County inmate search is an administrative tool available to the public through the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. It allows citizens to look up individuals being held in custody, access information about their charges, check bond or bail requirements, and review other booking details.

Faulkner County detainees are generally held at one of two main jail facilities. These are the Faulkner County Detention Center Unit 1, which is a Maximum Security facility, and Faulkner County Detention Center Unit 2, both located in Conway, Arkansas. These facilities are managed and operated by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Arkansas Statute 12-41-502, the county sheriff holds custody, rule, and charge of the jail and all prisoners committed within it. Faulkner County’s municipal police departments in the county’s largest cities, Conway and Greenbrier, do not operate independent, long-term jails. Instead, the Conway Police Department and Greenbrier Police Department transport all detainees to the county jail, where they are listed on the Faulkner County Sheriff’s inmate roster. For juvenile offenders, the county maintains a separate 16-bed Juvenile Detention Center, ensuring strict segregation from adult populations.

How to Send Money to an Inmate in Faulkner County?

Inmates in Faulkner County have access to a commissary system, which allows them to purchase approved personal care items, snacks, clothing, and other goods. If you’re planning to send funds, it’s important that you include the inmate’s full name and booking number on hand before initiating a transfer. The most convenient and cost-effective way to deposit funds is online through the Access Corrections platform. The website accepts Visa and MasterCard and is available at any time. Online deposits typically carry the lowest processing fees of any available method and are usually credited to the inmate’s account within a few hours of the transaction. The Access Corrections mobile app is also available for both Android and iOS devices.

Phone deposits can be done if you prefer to speak with someone directly or do not have internet access. You can call Access Corrections’ toll-free number at 866-345-1884, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and bilingual representatives are on hand to assist callers who prefer to speak in Spanish. Credit and debit cards are accepted over the phone.

If you prefer to pay with cash, a self-service kiosk is available in the lobby at Unit 2. The kiosk accepts cash deposits and can be used during the facility’s regular operating hours. This is also a good option if you are visiting the facility in person and want to add funds to an inmate’s account at the same time. All deposits require the correct inmate name and booking number. If funds are sent to the wrong account, the facility may not be able to redirect them. The Faulkner County Detention Center does not accept personal checks or money orders mailed directly to the jail.

Inmate Search by Jail Facility

Inmate searches can be done depending on where a detainee is housed or what stage of the justice process they are in. The sheriff’s office’s inmate roster provides inmate data, including recently released inmates from up to 48 hours prior. This roster provides details of county detainees only and excludes information about juvenile offenders. If you are searching for an individual who has already been sentenced and transferred to a state prison, they will no longer appear in the Faulkner County roster. Offenders serving state sentences can be located through the Arkansas Department of Corrections Inmate Search. This separate portal is maintained by the state and covers individuals held in state correctional institutions across Arkansas.

Faulkner County Visitation Rules and Schedules

All visitation at Faulkner County detention facilities is conducted via video rather than traditional in-person visits. This applies to both on-site visits, where you come to the facility and use a video terminal there, and remote visits, where you connect from home or another location using your own device. To conduct a type of visit, you must first create a free visitor account at JailATM.com. After setting up your account, you can schedule visits, manage your visitation history, and set up payment for paid remote sessions from the JailATM platform. All video visits, whether free or paid, are recorded and subject to monitoring by Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office staff. By scheduling and participating in a visit, you are consenting to that recording and monitoring.

Visitors must have a valid government-issued photo ID on file to register, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. Standard video visitation sessions last approximately 20 to 30 minutes. On-site video visits are free of charge and are available during weekday operating hours. If you would prefer the flexibility of visiting from home, remote video visits are available on both weekdays and weekends for a per-session fee charged through the JailATM platform. Remote visits offer greater scheduling flexibility and eliminate the need to travel to the facility.

Mailing and Commissary Information

Communication is allowed with inmates during their time in custody at the correctional facility. Faulkner County has specific policies about how mail is handled and what kinds of messages can be sent and received. Faulkner County Detention Center no longer accepts personal mail sent directly to the facility. This policy change affects all standard letters, cards, and packages from friends and family. The only mail accepted at the facility is legal mail, which is correspondence from a licensed attorney or a court, and media mail from credentialed journalists.

Legal mail must be clearly labeled as ’Legal Mail’ on the outside of the envelope and will be handled confidentially by facility staff. This policy was implemented as part of a broader effort to reduce contraband entering the facility through the mail system, a challenge common to county jails across the country. Inmates can still communicate regularly with friends and family through electronic messaging and phone call services provided through JailATM.com. Electronic messages function similarly to email and can be sent and received through the JailATM platform. Phone calls are made on a collect-call basis or through a pre-funded account, and calls are available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. As with video visitation, all calls are recorded and monitored.
